Pre & Post Treatment Care
Before Your Treatment
- Avoid blood-thinning supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 1 week before fillers to minimise bruising
- Do not consume alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
- Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of treatment
- Inform your doctor of all medications, supplements, and any history of cold sores (for lip fillers)
- Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup
After Your Treatment
- Do not lie down or rub the treated area for 4 hours after Botox
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours post-treatment
- Sleep face-up for the first night after fillers to minimise swelling
- Apply cold compresses gently to reduce swelling after filler treatment
- Avoid dental procedures for 2 weeks after lip or lower face fillers
- Contact us immediately if you experience any unusual blanching, pain, or vision changes — rare but important to report promptly

Yes. Botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) is FDA-approved for cosmetic use and has an excellent safety record when administered by a qualified medical professional. At House of Aesthetics, only MBBS-certified doctors perform all injections, ensuring correct dosage, placement, and technique for safe and natural results.
Botox results typically last 3–4 months. With regular treatment, some patients find that results extend to 4–6 months over time as the muscles relax more readily. Factors such as metabolism, muscle mass, and lifestyle can affect longevity.
Not at all when performed correctly. Our MBBS doctors use conservative dosing and precise anatomical placement to soften lines while preserving natural facial movement and expression. The goal is always a refreshed, rested appearance — never a frozen or overdone look.
We treat forehead lines, frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow's feet, bunny lines, brow lift, lip lines, chin dimpling, neck bands (platysmal bands), jawline slimming (masseter), and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Your doctor will assess your anatomy and recommend appropriate treatment areas.
Botox relaxes overactive muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles (caused by movement). Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gel to add volume, smooth deep folds, and enhance features like lips and cheeks. They work differently and are often used in combination for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 6–18 months depending on the product used and the area treated. Lip fillers tend to dissolve faster (6–9 months), while cheek and nasolabial fillers can last 12–18 months. Results are fully reversible with hyaluronidase if desired.
Botox has virtually no downtime — most patients return to normal activity immediately. Fillers may cause mild swelling, bruising, or redness at injection sites for 24–72 hours. Bruising is rare but possible. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after fillers.
There is no single right age. Many patients start "preventative Botox" in their late 20s to slow the development of deep lines. Others begin in their 30s or 40s to address existing wrinkles. The best time is when you notice lines at rest (static wrinkles) that bother you. Your doctor will provide honest guidance about whether Botox is appropriate for you.
