- Get a dental cleaning (scale and polish) 1–2 weeks before for the best, most even whitening result
- Avoid staining foods and drinks (coffee, tea, turmeric, red wine) for 24 hours before treatment
- Inform your dentist of any existing sensitivity, gum recession, or dental restorations in your smile zone
- Do not use desensitising toothpaste on the day of treatment — it can reduce whitening effectiveness
- Arrive with clean teeth, brushed 30–60 minutes before your appointment
After Your Treatment
- Follow the "white diet" for 48 hours post-treatment — avoid any dark or staining foods and beverages
- Do not smoke for at least 48 hours after treatment
- If sensitivity occurs, use desensitising toothpaste and avoid very hot or cold foods for 24–48 hours
- Use a soft-bristle toothbrush for the first week after treatment
- Maintain results with whitening toothpaste and your take-home maintenance kit every 6–12 months

If you have visible restorations in your smile zone, your dentist will discuss this at consultation.
